The check‑in equipment is hard to use; it should be designed with the user in mind.

The towels were changed daily—sometimes too often, so I had to put a sign up saying I didn’t need more. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and the room was only about 200 m from Oimachi station. A 7‑11 in the hotel basement made it easy to grab water, snacks, boiled eggs, or bath salts. The breakfast was included, the staff were lovely, and the basement offered free amenities. However, no free water was provided. I didn’t like the self‑check‑in process: three staff members stood idle behind the admin counter while I entered my name, DOB, address, scanned my passport, and paid an extra tax fee all by myself—apparently to reduce their workload. The management seemed to enforce this strictly: I arrived at 2:40 pm, before the 3 pm check‑in time, and they made me wait in the foyer with a laminated number until 3 pm, even though the rooms were ready. I was number 4 in line for three machines, so I had to wait until one finished—short but still off‑putting. The policy feels unnecessary, especially when the rooms are clean and we’re still stuck with bags, no Wi‑Fi, and no ability to go straight to the room. The check‑in should have already had my details; re‑typing them is a waste of time, especially after travel. The bathroom was a small plastic shell with a narrow tub that’s hard for a larger person to enter; the door frame required me to angle my body to avoid scratching. The room itself was tiny, with no place for my 72 cm bag, so I had to improvise by putting a chair on top of the bench and placing the bag under the table. The room was designed only for carry‑on luggage.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The service was excellent and the room extremely comfortable. I was sad I couldn’t book a second stay in Tokyo because I loved it so much. The window view was perfect, and I enjoyed seeing the city life day and night. Positives: it’s less than a 5‑minute walk from Oimachi station; a 7‑Eleven is below the hotel; there’s a wide variety of amenities; the room is spacious enough for two 23 kg suitcases and two carry‑on bags; the surrounding area has more convenience stores like 7‑Eleven, Lawson, and Family Mart; communication in English is great, and the self‑check‑in is easy. The nearby station is also quiet. Things that might interest you: the bathroom is a bit small, but I found it comfortable—my husband and I are plus‑size, and we didn’t feel cramped, though it varies per person. There’s a shopping center nearby and several other food chains. The only downside was not being able to stay again—haha, I liked the hotel so much I wanted to stay during my last week of travel, but I couldn’t. There are no negatives; the hotel is wonderful.

They offer a selection of items in the lobby, like coffee, tea, toiletries, etc., that you can pick from. It’s easy to reach either Narita or Haneda Airport. I arrived at Narita, took the Skyliner to Ueno, and then 13 stops to Oimachi. It took about 30 minutes to Haneda the next morning with just one change at Shinagawa Station. Also, there’s a 7‑Eleven directly below the hotel, which is handy.
