The only thing I can say positively is that the parking, location, and the administrator were fine; when I was there, he was polite, understanding, and apologized. I have no complaints about his manner. The problem lies in the service organization and how the guest experience actually matches what the hotel claims and charges for. I’ll explain in more detail. The hotel presents itself as pet‑friendly, and I paid an extra 500 UAH for a stay with my dog. The front desk asked for the animal’s passport, which I provided, but for that money we received nothing: no bowl, no water, no towel, no bed, not even a tiny bowl for my blind dog Toto. The worst part happened in the morning. I paid for breakfast the evening before. When we arrived, we were told that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant and were basically sent to have breakfast in the lobby. I understand the restaurant may have its own pet policy, but I expected a simple service step: to be warned at the front desk during check‑in and breakfast payment. People need to know the rules in advance, especially when traveling with a pet. After nearly nine hours on the road, another issue arose. The phone in the room had a note saying to call reception if you have questions. The phone was disconnected and didn’t work at all. There were two of us in the room, and the hotel knew this beforehand, but there was only one blanket. I just wanted to call reception and ask for a second one. Because the phone was broken, I had to go downstairs. There was no administrator on site. A security staff member explained that he had left and would return soon. When I tried to call him, the administrator’s phone rang right in front of me at reception, meaning I couldn’t reach him. The biggest problem was the temperature in room 203. That day outside was about +34 °C, inside it was roughly +28 °C, and the air conditioning didn’t work. Opening the window meant listening to traffic from the main street all night. Closing it meant staying in a stuffy room. After such a night, breakfast in the lobby was the last straw. Sitting with a plate in the common lobby with my dog, after I had separately paid for both breakfast and pet‑friendly accommodation, felt very unpleasant and humiliating. I’ve been to 60 countries, stayed in various conditions, including Spartan places in the Amazon. So I can clearly distinguish simple accommodation conditions from bad service.

Overall, a positive impression: the room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the breakfast was pretty good. It’s centrally located in Old Town, and there’s a storage locker where you can leave items before check‑in and after check‑out. Unfortunately, an unpleasant situation happened on the first day. We couldn’t rest after the road trip upon checking into the room. The bed was damp, but when I asked to replace it, the administrator apologized and said there was no fresh dry set available. No solution was offered. After several requests, the administrator agreed to take the bed to dry it. I ended up moving the bed myself. Also, for two people in the room, there was only one chair.

The location is good, the place is clean, there is an elevator, and you can book early check‑in or late check‑out for a partial rate. The air‑conditioner in my room didn’t work, and when I asked for a room change they said there were no free rooms. Nobody wanted to fix the AC – “we’re aware of the issue, but it won’t be solved.” With temperatures over +30 during my stay, I could only sleep with the windows open toward the main street. In the daytime the room just dripped, making it uncomfortable, and at night I could only sleep because I was used to loud noises; we had come from Kyiv for a weekend and wanted to relax.
