The breakfast was decent, but it didn't quite live up to the price tag. What would really make this place shine is a pool - it's a major missing feature that would make a big difference.
The bed was super comfy and the bedroom was immaculately clean, which is a big plus. However, the hotel's smoking policy is a major turn-off - you can't escape the smell of smoke anywhere, from the lobby to the cafe to the casino. To make matters worse, the shuttle broke down on the way back to Vientiane, leaving us to wait in the blistering heat for a new one. And to top it all off, the food was pretty mediocre for a 4-star hotel.
