The location was perfect.
“Affordable Hostel with Rooftopbar pool@ Kata”
Central, but on a quieter side street. The rooftop was nice. The neighborhood was very busy with tourist shops, restaurants, and hotels. The room size and bathroom were fine. The room had no windows, so it didn’t feel like a hostel. Staff were only onsite at special times, but you could reach them on mobile for questions. Not all Grab drivers knew the location, and there was no direct way to Kata beach (15‑minute walk) because the beach resort didn’t allow passing. I preferred Karon beach over Kata Beach.

The pool and rooftop terrace were great, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were terribly stuffy and smelled bad, which might also be because there were stinky people in my room. There was no window to ventilate, because the “window” just opened onto the stairwell, which was also a bit stuffy.
We liked that it was centrally located and close to everything. The fridge didn’t work well and shut off after a while.
