The staff were friendly, the place stayed quiet, and the lounge was a nice spot to unwind with tea and admire the garden. My Japanese‑style room was roomy, had a private bath, felt a bit dated but stayed clean and comfy. Breakfast was a highlight, and I stayed two nights. The only downside is the 20‑minute walk to the train station.
