Knights Rest

I stayed at the Knights Rest and liked the location—everything in Shanklin was close by. The double room was spacious enough for what we needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and they also offered cereals and toast. The place recently changed owners, and Michael and Paul were great hosts. No complaints, but the new owners seem to plan a small upgrade.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the spot is quiet. The facilities are good, and the room had tea and coffee that were refreshed daily. The décor is imaginative and knight‑themed.

Breakfast was excellent, and Vera and Martin were brilliant hosts who were always helpful. They also provided a lot of useful information about the Island, which was very handy.

“Highly enjoyable stay at Knight's Rest in Shanklin”

Vera and Martin welcome guests to their charming medieval‑themed BnB. A knight in armour greets you at the foot of the staircase, and I even found a knight’s hand holding my toilet roll in the en‑suite! The guesthouse is traditional, offering hearty cooked breakfasts, cereals, fruit juice, and more. Rooms are warm and comfortable, Wi‑Fi works well, and the electric shower in the en‑suite provides instant heat. All appliances and facilities are clean, fresh, and look new. Even though the guesthouse was full, there was enough parking in the drive. Tea and coffee making facilities are standard in the room. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or into Old Shanklin, and I’ll definitely return.

“Midweek stay”
