“Deben mejorar la limpieza”
The food was decent and the staff were friendly; we booked the jeep and camel tour. The cleanliness was poor overall, with stained sheets and a shallow cleaning when we asked for a thorough refresh; the place is pretty but maintenance is lacking, and the bathroom overflowed with hair.
“Excellent stay wonderful experience”
The place was clean and well‑located, but the air conditioning took a while to start, there were no hand towels in the bathroom, and the shower water was cold in the morning.
We loved our single night at the camp, where the tiny site offered the best view from our bubble tent, feeling incredibly peaceful and quiet, and the staff proved extremely helpful; we joined a four‑hour jeep sunset tour, a stargazing outing and a sunrise camel ride, all of which were fantastic and worth every penny, so we’d definitely book again if we return to Wadi Rum.
“Beau camp mais des arnaqueurs.”
The setting and the employee’s welcoming attitude were very pleasant and helpful, and the meals were generous and tasty. However, it turned out to be a bait-and-switch: a low price was advertised, then transport fees were added. Your personal car cannot reach the camp—only a 4×4 can—so you’re told to park five minutes away, where staff pick you up but charge 10 Jordanian dinars per person per trip, totaling $40 for two people for a round trip to the camp. I refused to pay the $40, and the charge dropped to $25, but I was still billed $61 instead of the $36 advertised inclusive of taxes. Moreover, when it was time to return to my car, the owner wasn’t there and his employee had to call the owner’s father, who didn’t answer, to say we were waiting because without the 4×4 we’re stuck at the camp. I felt held hostage by their price‑hijacking. Either we do their activities or we pay for camp access. It was pure theft. I had already booked my activities through a tour guide and was told we’d be picked up afterward, yet they made me pay for the road access to their camp. Very disappointed with their conduct. The bathroom was also dirty and the fridge leaked.
Everything was great and I had no complaints.
