“Unhappy”
I booked a room for my dad’s birthday a night away from him, left my card details at reception so he could charge his dinner and drinks to my card, but he ended up paying for it himself because it wasn’t added to his room. I called the hotel to find out what he had paid so I could reimburse him as it was a gift; they promised to call me back but never did. I went out of my way to add breakfast, which cost me an extra €40 as it was his favorite part of staying in a hotel, only to be told in the morning “No I don’t think you have breakfast included; it will cost €20 anyway.” I was furious, especially since I work in reception where guests are always told on arrival if breakfast is included and, if asked, we would confirm rather than say “I don’t think so.”
