The location and the building are very nice! Unfortunately, the stay started with a cranky owner who opened the door in a grumpy mood. Only feather blankets were available, and when I pointed out that I’m extremely allergic, she just said it wasn’t her problem and shrugged. There was no phone contact before the trip. The buffet breakfast turned out to be very sparse and bland (thin coffee, toast bread, and cheap cheese). Also, be careful about the owner’s recommendation to visit Knokke unless you love concrete deserts.
