Located in a serene garden in central Zurich, the Engimatt City & Garden Hotel boasts a private tennis court and complimentary WiFi in its spacious, modern rooms. Each room features a balcony, cable TV with over 100 international channels, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, and tea facilities. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Bahnhofstrasse and Paradeplatz Square, and a 7-minute tram ride from Zurich Main Train Station.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel; it turned out to be the cleanest room I've ever stayed in, even though I travel a lot. The room was spacious and everything—bed, pillows, shower—was very comfortable. The location is decent, but not ideal; you need to take transport to reach the main spots of the city. A tennis court is right next to my room, yet the windows do a good job of keeping the noise down. The décor feels outdated and could use a modern touch.

The staff, the room, and the hotel itself were very lovely and quiet, and the balcony was perfect for soaking up the last rays of summer sun. Coffee pods were only two per person; I would have liked a selection since they’re not that pricey.
