The location and the open‑air bath were the best parts. Inside the room felt a bit dark; I guess that’s part of the charm of an older building.

I was scrambling with my kids and missed the scheduled time for the private bath, but when I asked to use the next slot, the staff kindly agreed. I appreciate their consideration.

The private open‑air bath. The cleaning was lacking.

The room had a nice vibe and let me unwind, and the location was perfect for a trip to Nasu. When Wi‑Fi was spotty, a staff member came over and helped me out with a smile—thanks for that. My family enjoyed the private open‑air bath, feeling relaxed and refreshed. However, in the four‑person room, the bed felt damp, probably due to the ongoing typhoons, and it made us uncomfortable. The futon was thick and cozy, but a single feather layer felt chilly. The semi‑open bath had a clogged drain, so water didn’t flow, and the shower leaked. A cleaner environment would have been better.
