“Neuwertige Unterkunft und gutes Frühstück, deutlich über dem landesüblichen Standard”

A fairly new property on the outskirts. From our low‑profile room #1 we had a nice view of the greenery. The very friendly and helpful host even brought us an extra shower stool. Key collection was simple via a key box. The décor wasn’t high‑end but tasteful. The courtyard is unpaved (gravel) and hard to walk on, and parking is a bit tight. Rooms are bright‑through‑‑light due to the building’s lightweight construction and poor sound‑proofing. The pillows and blankets on the beds aren’t for everyone (maybe bring your own pillow).

The check‑in was hassle‑free, the room was spotless, and the breakfast was good; there was a fridge with a freezer compartment and an air‑conditioner. The only downside was that the bathroom lacked soap and shower gel, and the registration forms were printed in tiny print.

“A személyzet kedves volt, a szoba rendben.”

The food varied nicely, with tasty pastries, fruit, and a selection of cold cuts. The room smelled of a drainage pipe when the window was open, and the scent was also noticeable in the courtyard; the staff blamed the smell on Lake Fertő, but I thought it came from the outdoor part of the air‑conditioner.

The room was clean and orderly, and the air‑conditioner worked well. Breakfast had a wide variety and the lady who ran it was super friendly. The walls of the pension were very thin, so at night—probably from the cave theatre—every movement of returning guests could be heard. We were traveling with small children, so this disturbed our rest.
