The made‑to‑order breakfast was great, with excellent service. Dinner options were also good. The owners did a great job renovating this 1835 hotel; it’s slightly amusing to feel like you were ‘walking up hill’ in your room when heading to the bathroom! I loved the history and the rooms were appointed. I would have liked to stay longer.

Breakfast and dinner were great, and all staff had exceptional guest skills, local advice, and service. There are a lot of stairs to negotiate.

I met helpful staff and enjoyed a tasty breakfast, but I couldn't get the electric shower to the right setting.

We dined at the Restaurant on arrival, found the food superb and the staff courteous, and the next‑day breakfast was fantastic, so I’d gladly recommend this hotel.
