Also the lodge itself is really beautiful, the food offering very comprehensive, the staff very helpful. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The pools are great and invite relaxation after the safari. But perhaps we just had some bad luck: we booked the Bush Walk, Boat Tour and Safari package in advance through the same Orhanisation. Unfortunately nothing was arranged beforehand. It was also only one night instead of the booked 2 nights. We then had a lot of discussion on site to correct everything and provide proof of the booking. Even on the second day no one came to pick us up for the safari, only after another discussion and with a 1 hour delay. At checkout they said we still had to pay for the room, which had already been paid in advance. I had to show proof of my credit card again. Again, a lot of stress on site during the holiday. with the long journey and also due to the price absolutely inadequate. As compensation our drinks were covered and a lunch package prepared. The car start‑up assistance was also very nice and helpful. I think we just had bad luck; without these difficulties (I think we arrived ourselves without driver and guide) the accommodation would have been really great, at least a 9. The safari was ok, but the animal density was rather limited.
