The rooms were decent, the staff friendly, and the guard Moys was always willing to help, though his English was not very good. He helped with laundry immediately and didn’t charge for it. However, there were lighting problems that caused the air‑conditioners to stop working and it got hot at night. The second building was under renovation, which also affected convenience, and the road was the biggest stressor—walking at night on that “road” was difficult.

The interior looked very pretty, but the exterior was unfinished. The bed was too hard and there was no blanket.

We liked the location; nearby shops were easy to reach and the beach was only a 5‑minute walk. The place was quiet and spacious, comfortable, and we ate in the common area. We went out during the day and came back for dinner. The complex is being renovated/created, the road is not very easy but we managed. Note that the beers in the fridge aren’t free; we only found out once in a taxi, and there’s no sign—ask about it! Good value for money. The Maasai staff didn’t speak English very well, which can make communication hard, but Google Translate saved us. It’s a shame the accommodation isn’t signposted from the road; you need to head toward Kendwa Crystal.

Very well done, well kept, clean and smart; the decor and room decoration felt very high‑end. The kitchen space was lovely, and it’s a ten‑minute walk to Kendwa beach. If you’re staying for a while, it’s not close to many things, so you might need a car or to be able to self‑cater if you’re doing that.
