The hotel sits only 100 m from Place de la République, surrounded by decent restaurants, but the overall impression is shabby. We were assigned a first‑floor room with a courtyard view; the bathroom was the worst part—water sprayed everywhere from the sink, and I had to descale the mixer before warm water finally came. The shower rod was wobbly and likely to fall soon, there was mold, and the wall panel under the sink was exposed. In the ancient wardrobe, several drawers were broken and the safe was unusable. The lighting was dim, only two of three lamps worked in the bathroom, and the few outlets were loose. Breakfast was a let‑down: a small, predictable menu and croissants that were over‑baked every day.

The staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful, and the atmosphere felt cozy and warm.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was good, and the location was excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, with a Carrefour right next to the hotel for convenience. The breakfast, however, was only average at best.

The hotel was very well located, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were good. The breakfast could have been better: eggs were only offered boiled, and the housekeeping service was a bit erratic.
