It was beautiful, super central, and everyone was very friendly; only a pity we could only stay one day. Nothing else was wrong, everything was perfect.

“La suite superior es incompatible con descansar si hay música en el local contiguo”

Breakfast was decent and Dora was pleasant and attentive. The house has charm and the upper‑suite comes with a terrace, but unfortunately our experience was completely marred by the nighttime noise. We only stayed one night in Casa Gaitana, in the upper‑suite, and sleep was practically impossible. First, we arrived while it was raining and the keys were not in the lockbox, so we had to wait to access the room and ended up completely soaked. The main issue was the noise until 3:00 am. The upper‑suite is literally wall‑to‑wall with a bar/discotheque, and both the accommodation and the venue have terraces almost side by side. At night they played music at an extremely loud volume. We slept with earplugs and still had a hard time sleeping; without them it would have been simply impossible. Additionally, the windows and enclosures of the suite have clearly insufficient acoustic insulation. I understand the accommodation can’t control the neighboring venue’s music, but it could improve the room’s isolation, especially given how close the terraces are. The next morning we had breakfast with other guests on the lower floor who told us they had suffered the same noise problem. In the upper‑suite, because of the direct proximity of the terraces, the situation seemed even more extreme. Since Booking can’t properly show the noise level via video, I also posted this experience on Google Maps with videos taken from the accommodation, so anyone considering a reservation can hear the magnitude of the problem and decide with all the information. Another point to consider is access to the suite. You have to climb a narrow metal spiral staircase, which is quite uncomfortable if you’re traveling with heavy luggage. Carrying a suitcase of about 20–23 kg is difficult.
