The Wateredge Inn, Ambleside, stands on Lake Windermere's shores, amidst 17th-century charm. Cosy bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and tea/coffee facilities overlook the lake. A traditional English breakfast and seasonal local produce are served. Guests enjoy lake views, a log fire, and outside terrace. The inn offers a boat slipway, jetty, and proximity to walking tracks, cycle paths, and Zip World Windermere.

The location was great, close to the centre, parking was available during the stay, the staff were lovely, the room was gorgeous – I stayed in the Windermere suite, can’t recommend enough, will definitely be back. Everything was perfect.

The view of Lake Windermere from the dining area was great, but an intruder alarm sounded twice at night, disrupting sleep.

The location is excellent and the staff were very good and helpful, but the food in the bar was terrible.
