Hotel Alt Speyer

“総合的に良かったです。また宿泊したいです。”

We stayed in a top‑floor apartment with four people. The location in the city center was great for sightseeing, the kitchen was handy, the single bedroom was spacious and the loft made the kids happy (see photo 1), and the mattress was comfortable so we slept well (the sheets were clean). However, a few things bothered us: the kettle’s base was dirty (photo 2), a dirty plate from the previous guest was still in the cupboard (photo 3), the pot’s non‑stick coating had flaked off and was dirty (photo 4), a small window in the bedroom had cobwebs (photo 5), and part of the bathroom shelf was peeling (photo 6). Fixing these would bring us to a perfect score.

“Een aanrader voor een verblijf van 1 a 2 nachten voor het bezoeken van een geweldige stad.”

The location was good. It’s a small, tidy hotel. Breakfast cost €12 per person, was prepared quickly by the staff, and was fine. The lack of an elevator was a drawback. Parking was a public garage 150 m away, which we preferred in a bigger city. We stayed one night but were charged two full day rates, totaling €15, which I found excessive.

“Wir waren zufrieden”

Very good, especially close to the city center. The only downside was having to climb stairs.

“Leider nicht empfehlenswert.”

The hotel is very close to the city center, situated on a quiet side street. It seems to be from a better era: some furniture was broken, the plumbing was old, and the shower had no hot water.

The staff were friendly and the place was clean. There was no kettle, which would have been nice, but it’s not urgent.
