The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Saint Joseph overlooks Lake Michigan, offering bright rooms with flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, microwaves, and refrigerators. Guests enjoy a spacious indoor pool, fitness center, whirlpool, and sauna. A hot breakfast buffet with a free daily newspaper is served. Located 2 miles from Silver Beach and 5 minutes from downtown St. Joseph.

The highlight was watching the sunset over lake Michigan.

The view was good, but the room was a nightmare: an empty whiskey bottle lay in the room, the bathroom seemed never cleaned, pillows were uncomfortable and the bed felt like a rock, and to top it off a gentleman was drinking beer and doing drugs in his car in the parking lot.

The hotel is close to town, the sunset over the lake across the street is pretty, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is decent, but the place needs updating and cleaning; screens were falling out of the window, the pool was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom so we couldn't swim, the patio outside had weeds, the garbage can was overflowing, chairs were damaged and uncomfortable, and after paying a high price for a 3‑night stay I expected at least complimentary water—yet you have to buy it from the front desk.
