The spot is fantastic—walking distance to the grocery and takeaway, plus easy beach access. The heated beds were comfy, and the rooms were simple, clean, and had everything we needed for the night.

We were a group of four, and while the location and cleanliness were good, only two of us could shower. One person couldn't shower at all, and the other had cold water after about 30 minutes because the hot water ran out. The kitchen lacked a rangehood, which probably violates New Zealand regulations, and the owner never gave us the Wi‑Fi password; it should have been clearly displayed or handed out.

The location is great, just a short walk from the village shops and the beach in front.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Everything is very pleasant and clean. The reception is very friendly and helpful.
