“Louisiana Strays Get-A-Way”
The decor stayed true to its Hotel Texas namesake, and the room was tidy and enjoyable, but the shower head in room 109 needs replacing, the beds are uncomfortable, and the pillows could be better.
The room was clean and the staff friendly, but we booked a king bed and arrived to a room with no fridge or microwave, even though we had booked one with those amenities.
“We got scammed.”
The front‑desk girl was the only pleasant thing, but we didn’t stay because the room was disgusting: unclean, a scorpion on the ceiling, hair and debris everywhere, fallen tiles, holes in the wall, a dented entry door, and it was dark and filthy; we couldn’t get a refund because the hotel’s policy is non‑refundable, so we paid for another room across the street, and the front‑desk girl was nice but the owner should stay in the room; it was gross and awful.
