The rooms are roomy and the bed comfortable. The common areas are tidy and inviting, with several board games that encourage mingling. There’s no kitchen, yet Monika ensures you have everything for breakfast, including a microwave, various coffees, teas, jams, jellies (the rhubarb jelly was probably the best I’ve tasted), and grains. Monika was among the most welcoming hosts I’ve encountered in Iceland, and it was a pleasure chatting with her (looking forward to your feedback on 280!). The downside was the absence of a desk in my room, and the price could have been a bit lower.
