The hotel is decent but could use a facelift; it feels a bit outdated. A bus stops right at the door and drops you at the train station, and across the street you can catch other buses that take you to various parts of the city. Reception staff don’t speak English. The room is small but overall very clean—Japanese rooms tend to be compact, and there are several spots nearby for food, drinks, or jazz. Walking to the train station takes about 25 minutes. I could hear the occupants in the neighboring room.

I stayed for one night, slept soundly, and felt refreshed. If the chance arises again, I’d definitely use this place.

It’s cheap! The entrance, front desk, and hallway after the elevator have a luxurious feel. The floor carpet in the room had a slight stain that caught my eye.
