Setsugetsuka, Hakone, is a minute's walk from Gora Station. The hotel boasts public and private hot spring baths with natural spring water from two sources. Free WiFi and on-site parking are available. Hakone Open-Air Museum and Pola Museum are nearby. Guestrooms feature air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and refrigerators. Two restaurants serve Japanese kaiseki and sushi, tempura, and wagyu beef.

I fractured my arm the day before, but the staff handled wheelchair and chair arrangements over the phone and it was really helpful. The room’s open-air bath had no water, and the cedar tub was covered in long female hair that I had to pick out myself; when I added water, a lot of hair floated up, so I told the front desk and they cleaned it again. I expected a higher‑tier hotel but felt completely disappointed; the service was below the price.

The location is great! Just 1 min away from train and cable car station! Beautiful and very clean Onsen! fantastic dinner!. At the time of booking and check-in, I did not receive enough information about the hotel’s concept, luggage transfer service, and other important details. In the evening, I had some questions about transferring my suitcase, but unfortunately, no one at the reception spoke English, so it was difficult to get the information I needed. As others have mentioned, the property is really aged! The fully Japanese breakfast is a bit challenging
