“I would highly recommend this property to travelers who are only in Auckland for a short time”
I liked the property; it was nice and more than enough for our stay.

Nestled in Auckland’s tranquil Onehunga suburb, the Onehunga Garden Tinyhouse offers a private garden, terrace, and free WiFi. The single‑bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and streaming TV create a cozy retreat. On‑site parking, carpeted floors, and a patio enhance comfort. Just 14 km from the airport, it sits near Onehunga Bay and Mall.

I noticed a lot of dusty areas around the room, especially around the bed and on either side of the fridge. Mould all throughout the netting curtains. Water pressure in shower was absolutely shocking as was the hot water temperature. Even after letting run for a few minutes, it was still bad. Room was very cold at night time so we used heater provided to warm room up however that then introduced a bad stench that lingered around in the room. Quite a significant amount of condensation. Bed, pillows and bedding were awful. Was very annoyed at the cleanliness of the room as that is the very reason we were not able to check in early. We were advised that unfortunately the room is not available for early check in as the cleaner needed to be able to fully complete room clean. We then checked in after 6.00pm that night and that's when I noticed the obvious signs of dirtiness. You could tell that all the dirtiness, mould and dust has been quite a long time of build-up. Would not recommend this place at all

It’s a quiet, modern little sleep‑out that’s budget‑friendly and within walking distance to the stadium – good for a one‑night stay. The unit is very tiny and there’s not much room to do anything other than sleep. It’s located in someone’s backyard, and I felt that having a privacy screen on the deck and a clear indication of where to park would have gone a long way in helping us relax.

It was close to Go Media Stadium for the game we came to watch. The shower was a bit hard to work out, so it wasn’t as hot as I’d like it to be.

The location is a bit in a quieter area of the city, but that’s what I liked about it, and it is still well connected with buses. The hosts Laura and Viet are very nice and helped me with different questions I had (for example with parking). The accommodation is a separate standing tiny house in a nice garden facing an orange tree, and it also has a good‑sized terrace.
