Located two minutes from Paeroa Township and a five‑minute walk to Paeroa Domain, Racecourse Motel offers landscaped barbecue grounds, free on‑site parking, and motorcycle‑friendly access. Ground‑floor rooms feature kitchenettes with oven, microwave, fridge, private patios, electric blankets, and satellite TV. On‑site laundry, a tour desk arranging river cruises, golf, and Karangahake Gorge walks, and proximity to Waihi Beach (25 min) and Tauranga (1 hour) complete the experience.

The compact unit fit our needs perfectly for a one‑night stop, but the road works caused a bit of trouble—when we first arrived the roads were closed and we got a little lost, though that wasn't the motel's fault.

Conveniently located, the reception was very friendly and communication was excellent; the room was clean as expected, and I highly recommend it to others. The bed was just a little soft, which is fine for a single night stay.
