Cedarstone Villa

The location was good, the room was clean and comfortable overall. I booked two nights for a sports event weekend. Before leaving in the morning I locked the door from the outside with the key and triple‑checked it was fully secured. When I returned after the event the door had been unlocked and left wide open. Nothing was taken, but the situation made me feel uneasy.

“Good value, stayed twice.”

The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. The bar fridge was silent, unlike some with loud compressors. I didn’t like the hard memory‑foam pillows, but they’re easy to add a few more and store in the cupboard.

The location fit our needs and the price was reasonable since we didn’t want to spend hundreds for a place to just sleep and shower after a day out. The bed was comfortable and the hard pillows turned out to be miracle pillows—no sore neck the next morning and solid sleep. 👌 The room is part of the house with its own locks and entrance but is pretty soundproof. There’s room for improvement, but overall it was a good experience. Small things to improve: another bedside table is needed. There were a few cereal jars and milk but no coffee or tea; I asked and received coffee, thanks. The place was a clean standard home, though a bit of dust before arrival would be nice. The TV kept freezing; it wasn’t the internet connection, as sometimes the sound would carry on but the picture was frozen. We used our tablet instead.

“Generally it’s good.”

The property is new, private, quiet, and peaceful. Two hosts are very friendly and nice. The room is a bit tiny with only one bedside table, more suitable for a single person. If you need a desk or more space, or have two people, you might think again. Outside is a bit smelly because rubbish bins are nearby. No onsite parking, but there is plenty of roadside parking.
