The food was very good and the breakfast was always great, served in a very scenic setting; the staff were attentive and friendly, and the game drives with guide Layla were very good, letting us get very close to the animals. Nothing could be disliked.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience at Nkomazi Private Game Reserve; our stay was absolutely incredible and exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a truly special part of South Africa. The setting is simply breathtaking—vast, beautiful, wonderfully wild, and our accommodation was fantastic. We stayed in a gorgeous river tent that was incredibly comfortable yet still gave us that wonderful feeling of being fully immersed in the bush. With only a relatively small number of guests, the whole experience felt exclusive, peaceful, and personal. The wildlife was the real highlight: the game drives were exceptional, with incredibly knowledgeable guides who were clearly passionate about the reserve and its animals. We enjoyed some truly magical sightings, but seeing a cheetah mother with her five cubs was the absolute highlight, witnessed on two separate occasions, a memory we will never forget. What we particularly loved about Nkomazi was the style of safari. The morning and evening drives were long enough to feel like proper adventures without becoming exhausting, and there was always a sense that something incredible could be around the next corner. The combination of scenery, wildlife, and knowledgeable guiding made every drive exciting. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely keen to make our experience special. There was also a lovely sense of camaraderie among the guests without the reserve ever feeling busy or crowded. Having experienced safaris elsewhere in Africa, Nkomazi really stands out for us. It offers that perfect combination of luxury, exclusivity, and genuine wilderness, while still delivering the incredible wildlife encounters you hope for when booking a South African safari. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Everything was flawless; even though we didn’t speak fluent English, it all worked out great. Unfortunately we didn’t see as many animals as the Instagram photos suggest, but overall we loved it!
