The location and the room with a cozy living room were fantastic, and our host Tony made our stay a real celebration with his great service. Tony’s tip (restaurant Nick's, nearby) was a very atmospheric place where we ate wonderfully.

This lovely boutique B&B, tucked away down a country lane just 20 minutes from Stirling, was a highlight of our two‑week trip around Scotland. We stayed in the cabin for four nights, appreciated the robes and slippers provided for the few steps to the main house for the tiny but efficient private bathroom with shower. It felt like visiting a particularly tasteful friend’s home, with use of the cosy living room and kitchen available to guests. Host Tony was a delight, providing one of the best freshly cooked breakfasts of our trip, quietly unassuming but happy to chat and give suggestions for places to visit. We especially enjoyed hanging out with the two friendly dogs and Charlie the cat. The views were gorgeous, and although we didn’t see the Northern lights, we did enjoy stargazing, closely supervised by the sheep in the next field. It’s perfectly located to visit family in Stirling and tour the castle, go into Glasgow to see the breathtaking glasshouses at the Botanical Garden, take a walk around and other treats. The only downside is that you have to be fairly flexible to brush teeth over the sink in the tiny bathroom, though it’s great that it was so eco‑friendly!

A very beautiful place and superb welcome from Tony, with very good contact, useful information, sensible advice, a great breakfast, and a nice address. We had been informed in advance about the bathroom, it is indeed very small and in the living room of the cottage, not practical… but we were warned, unfortunately, so we limited ourselves to a maximum of two nights.
