The cleanliness was impeccable, and the bedding was very comfortable. The motel is on the ground floor and you can park right in front of your room. The breakfast was very good and generous, and the staff were attentive and pleasant. The bathroom is outdated and needs a refresh: the mixer is hard to adjust, the sink is glazed, the toilet is stained, and the bathtub should be replaced with a shower cabin. Privacy is lacking because the bed faces a large window overlooking the parking lot.

The room was clean and had towels and some basic toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and the venue was very quiet. You can park your car outside your room, as everything is on the ground floor, like a motel. Breakfast was buffet‑style and there was plenty of everything. I ate in the restaurant on my second stay (1 night) and it was fine. Before starting my trip (France to UK) I wrote to ask if I needed to book a table for an evening meal. The reply said that it was not necessary. I got lost trying to find the hotel and when I arrived just after 18.00, I was told that there were no tables available. I was cross, having asked in advance. I showed my email but it did not have a signature of whomever had replied, so the person checking me in shrugged his shoulders. I was offered room service, so I opted for fish & chips and a panache. When it didn’t arrive, I realized that I was supposed to go and collect it! The food was very good, however!

We always stay at Campanile because it’s just off the motorway, we always get a good night’s sleep and we had breakfast the next morning, which is very good. The guy at reception was very helpful and smiley; he let us stay a while longer while we were trying to sort out car problems. The refurbishment is great, but we would prefer two chairs in the room.
