The family greeted us warmly and the meals were delicious; thanks for the hospitality. The nearby onsen was truly remarkable.

We came with my kids, and the owners were very kind, showing us the surroundings, how to cook traditional dishes, and the places we could visit (onsen, home, river…).

During the stay it felt like a homestay at the owner’s house; we dined with the family and other guests, talked about local life, and enjoyed meals and tea made from local ingredients. The resident cat was friendly and slept with us at night—such a charming cat. The only downside is that there are no shops nearby, so you should shop beforehand.
