The staff were helpful and polite, the location was great, and the breakfast was excellent, but the bathroom could use improvements.

I had a terrible experience—do not recommend! We arrived at the lodge with three people: myself, my husband, and our 5‑year‑old son. We had booked a triple room through Booking, but upon arrival we were told the room wasn’t available and only a double was left. I said I’d be fine sharing the double with our son and even offered to pay any price difference. Still, the owner refused to accommodate us and was extremely rude during the encounter. The receptionist looked visibly uncomfortable with the situation. To make matters worse, after the refusal we were also denied access to the reception bathroom. It was an extremely embarrassing and disrespectful situation. We were with a child, on a rainy day, in a crowded city, and had to leave in a hurry to find another place to stay. An experience that could have been resolved with common sense and courtesy, but instead became a major inconvenience for our family. I do not recommend the lodge and would certainly not return.

The place is really nice – dead quiet and the breakfast was tasty. We were just two couples there, so it felt pretty private. The shower broke on us, but the front desk swapped it out right away. The only downsides were the bed being two single‑beds pushed together and the water in the room smelling strongly of iron, with reddish rust stains in the sink and shower drains.

Location can’t be beat, right in the middle of everything. Unfortunately my family left with a nasty bout of rhinitis, the blankets weren’t even in their covers, the shower had almost no pressure, and the whole property had a foul odor.
