Nestled on the Hardangerfjord’s edge, Hardanger Guesthouse lies a five‑minute walk from Ulvik village. Family‑run rooms feature private bathrooms, wooden floors and either private terraces or fjord vistas; basic cottages offer kitchenettes and shared baths. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, a spacious terrace, and an on‑site restaurant serving organic, locally sourced Norwegian cuisine. Fishing, swimming, fjord cruises and guided hikes are readily arranged, while Bergen lies two hours’ drive away.

Quiet surroundings, meadow in front of the guesthouse. Good breakfast. The room’s layout was simple. Our preferences were not taken into account.

The location. We were in the annex, very small, old, and urgently needed renovation.

We checked in yesterday. The staff was very pleasant, and the front desk upgraded us to a room with a water view. The breakfast was delicious—scrambled eggs, sausages, and all the best items. I highly recommend this hotel; it was cozy and very clean.
