Marianne Wine Estate

“Ein perfekter Ort, um ein paar Tage die Seele baumeln zu lassen.”

The Pool-House was a great room with a nice balcony, small but fine; breakfast was excellent; the location of Marianne Wine Estate was good, about 20 minutes by car to Stellenbosch; however, the room was sometimes quite cold (air permeable) and noisy.

The vineyard was beautiful and the room was great; the staff were very friendly; our stay was overall superb.

The property was nice and the location great, and the house itself very pretty; staff were friendly; unfortunately, it wasn’t all clean, with mold in the shower and a dirty fridge; staff were friendly but sometimes not very attentive in service, long wait times at meals; the wine tasting wasn’t as exclusive as one might expect from a vineyard, with a rugby match playing on the TV and uncomfortable chairs/tables giving a pub vibe; communication about the wine tasting was rather opaque, despite us asking more than half a year in advance and being told a tasting was included, yet no mention was made of additional options such as snacks.

“Sehr schönes Weingut zum Wohlfühlen und leckere Weine probieren”

The location was superb and the room great; we had a room in the Manor House all to ourselves, which was really nice; overall the vineyard is very beautiful with a great view; the wine tasting was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful; dinner and breakfast were both in the restaurant with a great view of the mountains; there was nothing that was simply just great.

Nice location on the wine estate; it’s a bit old now and needs a bit of sprucing up.
