Hotel El Mirador

“A beautiful hotel with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, very good value for money”

The place sits just off the main road and the view of the surrounding countryside is fantastic. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was spotless. I was disappointed that there was no breakfast option, and it would have been nice to have shampoo in the shower. The hotel advertised a swimming pool, which was a key reason I booked, but after confirming my reservation I got a message that the pool was out of season and therefore unusable.

The view is beautiful, the hotel itself is very fancy and quite pompous. As soon as you open the room door, everything is quite the opposite… the room is very unfriendly, poor sound insulation, and the neighboring room had loud snoring and coughing.

The location is pretty picturesque and the rooms feel cool, probably thanks to the stonework. There’s no food on site, so you have to head into Alhaurín El Grande for a meal. Soundproofing between rooms is bad—you can hear neighbors talking, their showers running late at night or early in the morning, and TV sound leaking through the walls.

“Pleasant”

The hotel was lovely, on time, with beautiful views and very helpful staff. The downside was a toilet odor and what looked like a leaking pipe under the floor. The overall renovation was good, but breakfast was limited and pricey for what we got.
