“Poor management and check your credit card statement for unapproved charges.”
I booked a two‑queen room and confirmed it with staff (Alexa) before arriving. When I got there, the hotel only had single‑bed king rooms or a bunk‑bed room. I’m 65 and my 30‑year‑old son has medical issues, so we couldn’t use the bunk beds. April, the night manager, couldn’t find a room, so I told her I’d get a refund and find another hotel. She said she’d just give me another room because it was the hotel’s fault and she couldn’t reach the manager, but she would confirm with the manager and day staff. The next day, Alexa confirmed she’d spoken to April and the room would be comped, and I’d get a call after departure. The hotel inappropriately took my credit card for a $50 incidental deposit on the first room and charged me more than the second room’s cost. I never gave my card for the second room or agreed to pay for it. The second room was coordinated by the night manager. This whole situation is completely inappropriate. As a 30‑year‑old military veteran who’s traveled worldwide, this is the first time a hotel charged me for a room they gave me because of a mistake.
