The Strandhotel Nordischer Hof, dating from 1903, sits 50 m from Kühlungsborn’s beach, framed by forest and dunes. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking, and rooms equipped with flat‑screen TVs, mini‑fridges, private bathrooms, showers, hairdryers, and some terraces. A rich breakfast buffet, the Portofino restaurant’s fish and Italian dishes, and a children’s playground complete the offering.

Very central location in town, only a few steps to the beach, excellent selection of restaurants and eateries, nothing majorly wrong.

Breakfast had something for everyone, it was refilled, the whole team was very friendly, the atmosphere in the city center and near the beach was great, but I would have liked an espresso or latte macchiato at breakfast.

The location in town and close to the beach is great, but the attic room has pillars that could cause a fall in the dark; the shower entrance is too high for older guests or those with disabilities unless help is provided, and the hotel didn't warn us about this.

The lift, quiet atmosphere, short walk to the promenade, good breakfast, friendly staff, and on‑site parking were all positives, though the parking spaces were insufficient.
