Located in Porto's city centre, Hotel do Norte is one of the oldest hotels, offering air-conditioned rooms with stylish furnishings and modern bathrooms. Some rooms feature a private terrace with views of Capela das Almas Church. The hotel is within a 15-minute walk of bars and restaurants, and near Oporto Coliseum, Bolhao City Market, and Porto São Bento Train Station.

The spot was great and the night receptionist was super friendly! The mattress collapsed into a big U shape, making it impossible to rest no matter how good or bad the bed was. The morning front‑desk staff could have been more pleasant.

The location was fine, but the lack of an elevator, old rooms with dampness, no curtains, sagging mattresses that dug into the springs, and even rooms smelling of tobacco made us feel very uncomfortable and unable to sleep because of the noise. We tried three rooms, each worse than the last, and it felt worse than a hostel. We asked for a refund to leave for a pricier place, but nothing happened. The staff, especially Marco, was very helpful and tried to assist us in every way.

The location is perfect; it’s right in the center on the main walking street.

The bathroom was too small, the mattress wasn’t great, but the staff were friendly and caring. The room size was a drawback.
