Located in Schriesheimer Tal, on the edge of the Odenwald Forest, Hotel Scheid offers regional and international cuisine, a cocktail bar, and a traditional beer garden overlooking the idyllic forest. Each room features a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and some have balconies with scenic views of the spacious garden. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, room service, and barbecue facilities.

The rooms were very beautiful and well equipped; the breakfast was sensational, plentiful, and offered plenty of choices for everyone.

The location is great for a layover or return trip, especially because the restaurant is simply more than fine; however, the room was very hot and there was no good way to cool it down.

The hotel is pretty and, despite the busy road, it’s wonderfully quiet; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food at the attached bistro is also delicious and reasonably priced, though the main pillow could be better.
