The room was clean, comfortable, and offered good value, yet it lacked an ensuite toilet, and I couldn’t locate a laundry facility, which would have been useful while working away from home.
The music was loud until 3 am, making it impossible to sleep even on the third floor.
The place was cheap, efficient, and well maintained, and honestly everything else was fine.

There was no breakfast, and I didn’t realize that my room had no shower or toilet; I had to use the communal facilities, which were subpar, and the carpet in my room was higher than the corridor carpet, making it hard to open and close the door—this was the most annoying issue since I use a walker or walking stick.
The bed was comfy and the hotel sits right in the heart of town, but the room turned out to be a disappointment. No photos matched what we got, so we assumed the website’s pictures applied to our booking, which they didn’t – definitely not worth the price. The staff didn’t help when we asked for an upgrade, saying other rooms were fully booked even though we could see availability online. The communal showers were filthy, with dirt on the floors, one shower had no hot water or soap, and the shared facilities were cramped with only two toilets and two showers for many rooms. Noise was a problem: music blared in the hallways, lights stayed on late and leaked through the closed door, and the pub’s loud music had no soundproofing.
