The host was welcoming and friendly, the environment was calm, and the breakfast was generous and varied.
Breakfast was good, especially the bread and jam. We didn’t realize the bathroom wasn’t ensuite, and the bare wooden floors and stairs made a lot of noise; mats or rugs could have helped, but they slipped on the polished floorboards.

The owners were lovely and let us stay a bit longer after checkout so we wouldn’t have to leave in the rain with our bikes. Everything else was fine, though the slope to reach the property by bike from the canal is quite steep.
