“Uitstekende locatie, appartement viel tegen”

The place sits right in the heart of Agrigento, and Paolo, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom is royal‑sized with a jacuzzi, though its use was discouraged because of water shortages. We had expected a two‑bedroom apartment based on our search criteria, yet the two “bedrooms” were actually open to each other with no door. The kitchen was very basic, offering only a fridge, a two‑person dining area, a microwave, and a kettle.

The host was very nice and kind, explaining everything about the city and our stay. The apartment itself was small but pleasant, located in a nice part of the old city. We assumed that booking a two‑bedroom apartment would provide privacy, but there was no door separating the two “rooms.” The “kitchen” consisted of a table with a microwave and a kettle.

The location is good, the staff is very friendly, and parking is available nearby. The room smelled damp and the beds were a bit uncomfortable.
