The owner was very friendly and had already given us helpful information before we arrived; the accommodation is quiet and conveniently located with a bus stop and the Anbo ferry terminal within walking distance; there was coffee and tea to make yourself, pastries, and even local shōchu, all very clean. However, if you have a lot of luggage it can feel a bit cramped, and a bedside lamp would be great.

The staff were adorable, and the location was perfect for leaving the hikes.

The owner was very friendly and helpful; breakfast bread, coffee, tea, and shōchu were free to enjoy, and the bed in the room was comfortable. I do have a small complaint: the bathroom tiles had dirty grout and mold, and the toilet paper spare holder was noticeable. That’s the only issue—if it were clean, I’d give it a perfect 10.

I was just a ferry and bus stop away, and the host was incredibly kind, though she only spoke Japanese. She offered a lunch‑box option, a cooking option, and a breakfast option, all at a great price‑for‑value, and she even had a mosquito net.

The place was basic, yet we still felt comfortable. A forest patch adjoins the house, where we could even watch monkeys playing. The host doesn’t speak English but is very friendly and tries hard to make us feel at home. She washed the bath and hand towels fresh every day.
