Hotel Fontana, a restored 18th-century Venetian house, is centrally located in Venice, behind San Zaccaria square. Comfortable rooms overlook characteristic squares, some with private terraces offering views of the Gothic San Zaccaria church. A quiet retreat near the waterfront, it is a 5-minute walk from Saint Mark's square and a 10-minute walk from Rialto Bridge.

A beautiful hotel in a great location, with a fantastic breakfast and very attentive staff; we’ll definitely return to Hotel Fontana someday.

The location and cleanliness are excellent, but the room is small and old; one shower had no shower rod and a sewage odor persisted despite the request.

I booked for one person through Booking, but my wife joined me later. The owner and manager took care of changing the room for both of us. The service was the best. The location is exceptional, just a few steps from Plaza de San Marcos and a few meters from public transport. Even though it's surrounded by restaurants and bars, there’s no noise. I’d come back.
