The location was excellent relative to our interests, the car‑rental company, easy exit from the city, and avoiding the ZTL zone. The two rooms we booked were spacious, clean and bright on the 5th floor! The area is fairly quiet, even though it’s near main streets and you can reach the center very quickly. Our access to the premises was arranged after coordination and messages via the booking system, for our arrival time and the codes. Everything was fine, except for an unfortunate incident. Unfortunately for us, something happened that you can’t predict… The owner apologized, and I thank him a lot. The night before we left, after returning from a restaurant around 11, we found the elevator broken (and it hadn’t stopped because someone had left a door open on a floor, as the owner assumed – because this usually happens, and they’ve put a note on each floor of the elevator – when I told him via message), the elevator had stopped between the 6th and 7th floor – half an elevator seemed on each floor – so I had to go up all floors on stairs to check if any door was left open, to close it so that my party of three adults over 60 could use the elevator, and eventually because of the fault, everyone had to go up on foot. The next morning we had to check out at 10, and even though I messaged the owner, I fully understand that an elevator couldn’t be fixed so quickly… and we went down the stairs loaded with luggage… I mention this as an unfortunate incident during a stay of a group of two couples who are not young, to get through everything easily. For our age, some facilities play an important role and it was the first time we didn’t choose a hotel for our stay in Rome.
