Free coffee and tea supplies were in the kitchen, and I could open the window for fresh air, although the smoking area was right below us.

“Vindrem una quarta vegada”

It was my third visit (my husband’s sixth) and we’ll probably come back again; the hostel is just a stone’s throw from Kyoto station, offers great value, and the facilities are quite comfortable. The lounge areas are nice when they’re not crowded, and the rooms are decent. My only gripe is with some guests who leave their belongings in the bathroom or dining area, “reserve” the table, or leave shoes on the floor instead of the shoe rack – the staff does a good job overall. I also wish the room window could be opened, but maybe we just didn’t know how.

The building is very quiet, and the location is near the train station!

The neighborhood is quiet and close to metro and train stations, so you can walk to the center anyway. You’ll need slippers for the whole property. The staff were very friendly and gave me instructions for self‑check‑in after hours. The kitchen is spacious and has plenty of storage. There’s a downstairs bar that serves really good pizzas. The shared bathroom was uncomfortable because I was surrounded by four men while showering or brushing my teeth. The floor in the room had stains and the pillow didn’t smell fresh.
