“Unwelcome!”
I walked into a bar and the bartender seemed to have an existential crisis because of my presence; she was shocked, resentful, and her face was full of anger. The second bartender stared at me like I’d stolen her cookies, with no greeting, no smile, no questions—just silence and unprovoked loathing. This was the experience here. I wondered if it was fair to start my review this way, so I’ll try again. RATS AND TERMITES! That’s a much bigger problem than the service quality. I was waiting outside to avoid the bored bartenders’ faces. Calling them “bartenders” is a stretch. Watching the clumsy short pours was painful. They finally closed for the night, and not 5 minutes later, a large Ratatouille appeared below the main door. The rodent saw me and realized its PR mistake, then ran home to the crawl space. Finally, some peace and quiet—just me and the flying ants. That would have been a good way to end, but I see many people praising how clean this place is. Calling it “clean” is wishful thinking at best. Everything is sticky! The chairs are sticky. The tables are sticky. The bar is sticky. You’ll likely stick to any surface you touch. In the hostel, the beds that other guests had slept in before my arrival were not made up for the entirety of my stay. This place should not be open to the public. Enthusiasts ready to challenge their immune system are welcome!
