“rude, deceptive, under service and overcharging guests with whatever they can get away with - awful”
The hotel was filthy and located in a dangerous part of Cairo, and the staff’s rude, arrogant attitude and lack of organization were the worst parts. Every time I tried to settle a bill or pay for a service, I was told the “system” was down and to return in a few hours, which was absurd, followed by no communication but a massive overcharge on my card each time. I had to cancel the same booking for a night I didn’t stay multiple times, only to be charged more than double the room rate like thieves in the night—hopeless, don’t stay there, they are thieves. The rudeness of the staff and the overcharging, which was double the rate for nights I didn’t stay, were the main negatives.
