Great location, super friendly staff, nice room, well equipped. Close to the beach with small beach bars for great sunsets or just sunning during the day. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and filling. Vimu, the family’s son and our contact, kindly gave us mosquito rings to light on the balcony. You can also buy water at the accommodation, which is really convenient. Unfortunately, our mosquito net had a lot of dust on it, and the wardrobe—rare in Sri Lanka—needed a new spot because it wasn’t very accessible.

“1 night stay end of March 2026, very close to beach and several nice cafes and family-run restaurants. It was adequate”

The setting was nice at the end of a quiet narrow lane, one row back from the beach, with plenty of local cafés and restaurants nearby. If you arrive straight from the airport by taxi, don’t try to get the taxi to take you all the way up there because there’s limited turning space.

The place is in a great spot on a quiet street near Coconut Beach, away from the busier parts of Weligama. The room was spotless, roomy, and had a lovely terrace overlooking the trees. The owners were friendly and served a tasty traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, though other options were also offered. The room could have used a small fridge, and we stayed for three very hot nights, so without AC the fan had to work hard. These are minor issues, but we still enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is excellent, clean, and tidy. The family that owns it is attentive and always tries to help. They assisted me with airport transfers both ways. The location is great—there are many varied cafés around, a wonderful quiet beach, and a nice spot for sunset watching in the evenings. Several surf schools are nearby. Minor downsides: the only convenient way to order a taxi is from the road (a 3‑minute walk) because of the local taxi mafia, and the breakfast selection is limited. If you stay long, it might get a bit tedious. But the banana pancakes were delightful!
